Remembering

I've been tagged!

As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Oh definitely the California trip with you and Jer how ever many Novembers ago that was. (it was November right?) What a fun trip! It was fun to go with you guys to Disneyland, the beach, hanging out at Jer's Family's place. What a fun laid back trip. Gee, is Disneyland the theme of your life?

My favorite - our coaster loving days! Do you remember when we rode the big shot (on top of the stratosphere) all night long. And then the flying ride at the MGM - no one would pull the chord. I think we had to bribe Jeremy. And the fact that I would only hang out with all those boys if you came...and one last word...CEMENT! I am so glad we are friends. I will somehow get you to Utah!

Hmm... Probably roaming the streets of your neighborhood late at night acting like silly teenage girls because Melinda was hoping to run into Garrett... Wow, I would never wish to be a teenager again, :)

"Its a Small World After All!!"

Loved getting to know you and Jer.
One of my fav trips ever, just cause it was so relaxed.

I remember that day we were at Troys basement, and I seriously thought you didnt like me. :) Little did I know we would be good friends.

Our trip to Canada where we walked into a bear on one of our hikes. Then we tried to make so much noise when we had to hike through the blackberry bush trail! I think we sang every song we knew on that trip! Poor Phillip! :)

Oh, one more...jumping on the beds and pillow fights in our St. George motel when we went to go see Carin at the amphitheater. I have a picture of that one somewhere!

You are quite the traveler, Lisa! I think I could name many fun trip memories with you! Let's go on another one soon!

Lisa our resident sports fanatic. For all the times we hung out it's the volleyball games that I remember most; both Provo High and BYU.

There was also the time we went up Diamond Fork and around the campfire you and Jerms decided to listen to the BYU game and tune us boring folk right out.

Of course we can't forget the time you helped my future wife ditch me for an entire weekend. Then there was that one time when you posted an embarrassing photo of me from bygone years on your famous (and public) blog.

The best was probably the time you convinced your dad to let some of your delinquent friends tag along on that Rock Canyon sealed cavern adventure.

I can think of a couple that stand out in my mind.
* Making shrinky dinks at your house from old meat containers your Mom let us color and watching the smurfs while they "cooked"
* Having a tape of singing in the rain and dancing and splashing in the puddles in front of your house while singing at the top of lungs.
* Arguing with you about that I was older because my birthday month was a bigger number than yours so that made me older. You also told me Santa wasn't real which we also argued about.
* Being so excited that you came to my sleep over after I moved
* Talking one of Garretts older brothers into eating a whole hand full of grass which turned his teeth green
* Playing on your swing set in the back yard and discovering one of the things you hang upside down on had what looked like oil pouring out of it. So when your Mom made us play with the neighbor Becky that we didn't want to play with we convinced her to swing from the bar and it got that oil looking substance all in her beautiful blonde hair
* Sneaking in to play with your Dads radios
* Dance classes
Over all some micheviouness and lots and lots of fun

I remember you only wanting to eat Arby's sandwiches. Your Mom would buy a bunch and leave them in the fridge.

Watching many, many football games with you. I think we were the only two girls that actually watched the games.

You may not want to remember this, but I just remember when you were forever pregnant with Alyssa and getting up there to play the organ in sacrament meeting. You could barley reach around that sweet baby of yours, yet you never looked unhappy or annoyed to be up there. I always thought how faithful you were and what a great mom!

Can I leave one funny one?

One time in HS a few of us (can't remember who all was there) were watching "Strange Brew". About half way through the movie you walked in and demanded to know "Hey, is this movie making fun of Canadians?!"

Coincidentally, aren't you 1/2 Canadian? I always thought it was funny it took you 1/2 the movie to notice. :)

Tim & Kar -- DL was so great with you guys! We'll need an encore (but it doesn't have to be DL). And, Tim, I do remember the Strange Brew comment, but I thought I was being sarcastic. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong. I am half Canadian, so I thought it was obvious. However, I have been known to make flighty comments . . . :)

Jessica -- Garrett! Need I say more?

Holz -- You are the best traveling girl, ever! Let's keep up our trend of fun getaways!

Kayelynn -- I forgot about the pillow fights. So fun! And, of course, Canada!! You, Holli, and I must always do the trips.

Reg -- Reggie + Holli= Eternity. Again, I didn't steal her!! BYU rules! I'm glad you were a fan as well. What would I have done without my sports watching buddies?

Heidi -- I seriously must have blocked all the horrible things I've done. I thought I was a nice girl, but you reminded me that maybe I wasn't so angelic. Hilarious!

Amberlynn -- Arbys . . . I do remember that obsession. And, again, BYU sports rules!

Karin -- What a nice comment!

I do remember those awkward Sundays at the organ, feeling utterly morning sick and HUGE! I knew the ward members were doing the pregnancy watch. Bob H kept threatening to plead to the bishop to release me . . . he was amazed at my reach. :)

Lisa,

If indeed it was sarcasm, you have my deepest apologies.

Also, in hindsight i don't know if we ever answered your query. Yes. Yes, indeed they are in fact making fun of Canadians in Strange Brew.

(if nothing else... I hope you got a chuckle from the comment. I know I did. :)

I remember singing "You are My Sunshine" in 3 part harmony with you and Sara. We were so cool. Then, we actually tried to perform it at the Senior Seminary talent show, and couldn't stop cracking up. Everyone thought we had no talent- boy were they wrong! :)

P.S. On the neighborhood walks Jessica mentioned, Garrett actually did show up once... in a bath towel. That was hot.
