When you're sick, there's nothing better than a mom to take care of you. But what if you're the mom? Who takes care of you?
Jer contracted the nasty stomach flu from Jayce and is now laying in bed, trying not to throw up. Unfortunately, I'm starting to exhibit his pre-symptoms and am feeling quite yucky myself. All we want to do is rest and take it easy. Unfortunately, my little 18 month-old won't have any of that. After two minutes of resting, she literally smothers me by sitting on my face -- screaming at me to hold her as she directs me around the house. She's been a little sick herself (I suspect rotavirus) and has been especially demanding.
Jeremy's mom is off dealing with a death in the family, and my mom is faraway in her own busy world. Our selfish sides miss them, though. Why can't someone bring us Sprite and saltine crackers? Why can't someone turn on a video for us and apply much-needed blankets since we're so cold? Instead we're relegated to kid duty. Oh, well. I guess it's time that I accept my adult-ness.

Oh, Lisa! Take care of yourself! We need to get you better. I think you can feel free about inviting the good old t.v. to babysit for a while. Go get some sleep...good luck.
I know it sucks being the grown up huh? I would so bring you Sprite and crackers if I was there. Sorry, I'm stuck in Utah, and would you believe it, we're getting snowed on (well yesterday we did.) Doesn't this crazy state (ha! for your benefit) now that it's supposed to be spring in April?!?!
DISNEYLAND
Did that help? I so hate being in your shoes - I feel your pain! The worst is when you are sick and the kids are sick, and your husband is out of town.
Ahhh. I'm so sorry! I'll take your sweet girl so you can get some rest. I'd love a girl in my house for a few hours! Take care of yourself.
It does suck to be sick!! Moms really are the greatest and it sucks when they can't come to the rescue! Feel better!!
Ouch! We got hit with the Rotavirus last November. Haley was hit the hardest...it lasted for 10 days for her. I was out for three days. Lesley got it too but it didn't affect her nearly as bad. I wish you a speedy recovery.
so sorry you've been sick! Ugh! It's the worst when you have little ones to take care of. Luckily my parents just moved 15 minutes away- mom's retired and on the ready to come any time I ask.
Lisa, I hear ya barking! Sometimes I think the only reason why I want to move back to Oroville is because when i'm sick, I need someone to help me with the kids. But looking back on the last 7 years, I haven't ever really had that. It bites for sure! How are you feeling anyway? Remember, Jennie is living in Hendersen. I don't know if that's close enough to you, but I'm sure she'd help you out in a sec. if you need it. Good luck and hope you feel better soon! Love you guys!
Im so sorry Lisa. No fun. Are you all better now? Did you get some TLC too? Looking forward to Disneyland pictures.
