Seven years ago tomorrow, Jeremy and I embarked on an adventure called marriage. As I reflect on that day, a few things stand out:
Jer was late arriving to the temple. How could someone to be late to their own wedding? Honestly, the thought did cross my mind that he might jilt me in retaliation of my indecisiveness while we were dating. What perfect retribution! Fortunately, he decided to show up. (Jer claims he wasn't late -- a disagreement we have that will never be resolved).
We got lost leaving the Mt. Timpanogos Temple to head to Thanksgiving Point for the luncheon. We arrived a little late and were greeted with snickers and winks. Really, people! We were lost!
My bouquet ended up staining my dress -- the flowers weren't properly cut (according to one of our guests who knows her botany), so I got all this residue on me during the reception line. I had to hold the flowers high enough so people wouldn't notice.
Other mishaps? I forgot that my dad had to work on Friday and didn't give him a proper goodbye before we left on our honeymoon. My cousin ate our entire wedding cake, which was stored in my mom's freezer (we only got one bite at the reception). And the weather was so hot that day, I wasn't feeling very beautiful as we were taking pictures. I guess you could say I was "glowing," but for all the wrong reasons.
Anyway, those things just added to the character of a great day. The sealing was wonderful, Jer looked so handsome, and we appreciated the support of friends and family. These seven years have been super, and marriage has been relatively easy (our tortuous dating life prepared us for anything). Hopefully we haven't reached the "seven-year itch" because I've been so content. Thanks, Jer! Love you!

Happy Anniversary! How fun! Great post! At least you didn't turn into bridezilla right?
No Bridezilla here! I was so mellow.
Happy Anniversary, Lisa! Why did it take you so long to take the plunge anyway? Congrats- you have a great family.
Lost in between American Fork and Thanksgiving Point? Sure, I'll believe that (wink wink).
But hey I don't know understand much about wedding day behavior. Just this week Holli ran into her cousin on his wedding day at Training Table cause they had a 6 hour time period to fill. No judgment from me, just reporting what happened.
I know it sounds suspicious, Reg, but we couldn't find the silly freeway ramp. We just kept driving around AF, obviously missing the main thoroughfares. For a Provo girl, I should have known better. At least we weren't at the Training Table. That's funny! :)
Happy Anniversary you two! You are so great together! It was fun to read the behind-the-scenes take on your big day. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Happy anniversary to you both. You are the cutest family!
Well, you both looked great.. but it WAS really HOT!!
Safe travels tomorrow - we can't wait to see you!
Damon was late for the temple too! I love all the memories from your wedding day! I think you look beautiful and aren't glowing at all!
I hope you had a great anniversary! I love the little wedding memories! I thought it was so much fun to get married, I always tell Marc we should do it again some time (of course to each other again!) I don't think you will be itching anytime soon!
Happy Anniversary! How funny is that...I just finished OUR "anniversary blog," and saw yours! I also (quite innocently) used some of the same wording! Ha! I guess I've been a "blogger" too long. I am letting my friends' literary talents creep into the "copycat" portion of my brain! Great picture of you guys!
