Farewell, Steven! Love, Your BLONDE Sis.

My brother had his mission farewell today, so Alyssa and I have been in Provo visiting the fam'. Provo friends . . . I'm sorry I didn't see you. This weekend was a whirlwind, so I had no time. I had such grandiose plans . . . Magleby's Fresh, BYU Bookstore, fun with friends, etc. Alas, it was not meant to be. We'll be up for Independence Day!

Well, since I had a built-in babysitter (Mom), I decided to get my hair done Saturday afternoon. I told the stylist to give me highlights, but to keep it natural-looking. Well, she must have misunderstood because I left the studio looking like a California wanna-be. The change was far more drastic than I had anticipated, and I'm not thrilled. I've always identified with my red hair . . . that's Lisa. I'm NOT a blonde! Not that there's anything wrong with that . . . :) (See, Jer? Seinfeld reference). Vegas friends, be prepared!!! I'm not the same woman I was before I left. I inadvertently morphed into Barbie! :( (though not as skinny, pretty, and accessorized).

Steven and I had our final farewell tonight. He's off to Frankfurt next week. I've been trying to guess what changes in our family will be had by the time he gets back . . . more kids? Wrinkles, yet? Will I still be in Vegas? Will Scott be married? Will Jennifer survive four kids? Will Bryan graduate from PHS with High Honors? Will David and Sheri create a baby with perfect eyes? (being the optometrists they are). So many questions . . . so few answers.

Bye, Steven! You'll do well. Thank goodness for email!

I want to see pictures. My hair grows too fast to do highlights. I would be in twice a month. I will have to live vicariously through you! And for the record I think you accessorize well...a wallet...and 2 kids. Better than most!

How fun! I'm so excited. Even if you don't like it I think its fun to do something different once in a while. I was a model for a friend in hair school my freshman year, we'll just say I lost 8 inches of hair, got a perm and pink and gold highlights (all in 3 weeks) you can imagine the results for yourself. It's so fun to have brother's on missions, Bart has two right now, my brother just came home, and we've got two more to go! He'll be a great missionary I'm sure!

What a fun week-end with family! Congrats to your brother. I'm sure your Barbie self looks beautiful! I hate the feeling of them not getting your whole vision. Can't wait to see you!!

Blond! I hate when stylists don't listen. I bet you're still hot :)

I don't know Scott, but he's funny! I am glad that you got to see your family! Don't worry too much, usually after a couple of weeks the highlights fade a little and start to look more natural. I always think the same thing after I get mine done!
